Incredibly accomplished as both an actor and comedian, Eric has lived in the UK since he was 12 and has the accent to match. We chat feeling like a fraud, mental health, online hypnotherapy and moving around as a kid. Plus we talk USA vs. The UK, for any American #JerkOffs out there.

He spent a year working at The Comedy Store in Sydney, where he did his first gig before going back home to be one of the rising stars of Scottish comedy. We talk about the benefits of being foreign, debunking haggis (twice, a double debunk!), children's games around the world and having different accents for different situations.

After a year in the UK, we talk about Australia vs. UK Comedy, coming up in the club circuit and the festival circuit - it's a pretty industry heavy chat so if you're a comic from either country, wondering if the grass is greener give it a listen.

This week I chat to one of the most-said names in comedy... it's Phil Wang (@PhilNWang)!

Born in Stoke-on-Trent, raised in Malaysia, 2 years at boarding school in Brunei and then doing his A-Levels in Bath before attending Cambridge. Phil's been a child of The Empire pretty much the whole time but he doesn't feel like he particularly belongs anywhere.

We chat about quitting smoking, Australianisms, the growing Asian comedy audience and his first ever gig doing Russell Peters' jokes at a high school drama night. Terrifying.

Apparently if I was Kurdish I’d be called Danny Tash, which is such a strong nickname I’m thinking of moving. This week I sat down with comedian and podcaster Kae Kurd (@kaekurd)!

We talk a bit of Kurdish history, including how they’d really, really like to be an independent state, drill music making it to Australia, how Joe Rogan is The Tonight Show in 2019, start his career in the urban circuit and growing up in Brixton. We also chat a bit about how difficult it is to explain Western Depression to Kurdish parents.

Jerk Offs, Daniel is finally well enough to have some people over for a chat and we’ve got a cracking episode to kick things off with Russia’s Olga Koch (@rocknrolga)!

I think Russia’s been a mystery to a lot of people since the Iron Curtain, unless you got World Cup tickets, and who better to explain a bit that someone who grew up there before moving directly to Team USA! Well, it was the UK but an American school before going to college in the America.

We talk about Russia’s land mass being too huge to protest, how oligarch’s got rich off vouchers, Daniel getting full marks for a really racist drawing of Russia when he was 11, Rasputin’s big dong, loving the Chicago Bulls and bribes… lots of and lots of bribes. Oh, and getting the random bomb swab on every flight as a Russian!

#30 - Call Ireland Potato Disneyland I Don't Care feat. Michael Legge

We’ve got a real treat this week with Michael Legge (@michaellegge) popping in, excellent comedian, team captain on the 'Do The Right Thing' podcast, television host & retired thief. We talk Northern Ireland because it’s about time isn’t it?

Michael grew up in a small town that sounds like Newtown-Ornes but could be anything really (I couldn’t catch it over the hour) full of racists, and skipped university to move to London 30 years ago and begin working for Northern Ireland Media during the end of The Troubles (fun fact: they started when Michael was born and ended when he left). Growing up Catholic in a Protestant town, not understanding Loyalists, and joking about loving the IRA on stage.

There’s also a great chat about people saying they’re Irish, especially Americans with shamrock hats who’ve never been and don’t know a single sentence of Beckett. Stop it.
