#9 - My Accent saved my Life a Few Times feat. Kyle Legacy
Thursday Nov 15, 2018
Thursday Nov 15, 2018
Sorry for the delay! I've been on many forms on transport getting back to the UK, but it'll be every Monday from next week. We're rounding out Australia month with Kyle Legacy (@thelegacylife)!
He's originally from Liverpool, is a permanent resident of Australia and also manages to spend about 3 months a year in the USA. He's a professional couch surfer who plays pick up basketball and comperes comedy clubs & festivals around the world.
We talk about why he lives his best life in Perth, Summer Camp USA, being mistaken for being black, picking up slang rather than accents, The Queen, NHS vs. Medicare and why he's not a professional ball player.
Here's a link to basketball commentary to help you make sense of Kyle's personality.

#8 - Australia sucks if you're a Nerd feat. Miles Ross
Tuesday Nov 06, 2018
Tuesday Nov 06, 2018
Sorry for the delay, I was trying to find an English comedian who lives in Sydney but realised there wasn't any. Don't worry though, we've got Miles Ross (@MilesTheRoss)! Born in London, and then growing up in a house in Sussex built in 1220. Yep. Doesn't get more English than that.
Miles isn't a stand-up comedian, he's an E-Sports Commentator for Blizzard, regularly in the US at live events and on Channel 7's Good Game. Definitely not what you'd expect from someone who calls Sydney home.
We talk about his very, very old house, the growth of E-Sports worldwide, sunscreen and being a full-kit wanker. Super interesting chat about computer games, which has to be the fastest growing phenomenon in the world. [That $25 million dollar prize pool, The Masters Golf is 11 million. Yep]
Get around Miles on Twitter & Instagram.

#7 - Liking Opera doesn't make you a Wanker feat. Alice Fraser
Monday Oct 29, 2018
Monday Oct 29, 2018
Another episode coming straight from Sydney Australia, featuring Sydney's own Alice Fraser (@aliterative). A frequent guest on The Bugle, multiple award-winner and television appear, she stopped by on her busy schedule to tell me about starting the UK at Cambridge University.
I chat to Alice about Tall Poppy syndrome, servant culture, how Australia turned from giant prison to law-abiding and fluid dynamics - because who doesn't want to know more about fluid dynamics? She's a Burmese Buddhist who used to run marathons and truly one of the most thought-provoking comedians working today.
She'll be at Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy in London soon, but if you're free November 4th get tickets to our next show here.
Catch Alice's stand-up in the form of her Alice Fraser Trilogy, and there's loads more on her website which will always be www.alicecomedyfraser.com in my heart. She's also on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter.
As always, please LIKE / SHARE / SUBSCRIBE / REVIEW the The Union Jack Off, I'd love to hear from you and will respond to everything you send my way on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook. @danmuggleton is where to find me, and tickets to my only Sydney show November 8th at Giant Dwarf are available here.

#6 - The Street Signs have the same Font feat. Ray Badran
Monday Oct 22, 2018
Monday Oct 22, 2018
We're kicking off Australia month at The Union Jack Off. Daniel Muggleton (@danmuggleton) is back in Australia doing shows so he's speaking to fellow Sydney-London transplant Ray Badran!
Ray Badran (@RayBadran) is a pleasure seeker and one of the most observant people you'll ever meet which is pretty obvious when talks through the English supermarket hierarchy, Subway sandwiches and leaving a Tipperoo. Honestly, I know it seems like product placement but that's just how he thinks.
We talk about Hudderfield FC who are known as the Terriers, and here's the link I promised to explain bluff oysters.
Ray's more elusive than our other guests but you can get him on Twitter or on his website. He's also hosting Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy in London November 4th!
If you know anyone in Sydney, my show's on November 8th at Giant Dwarf and you can get tickets here. Otherwise get in touch on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. I'd love to hear from you, and will definitely reply.
Now, back to trying to shake this jetlag. Cheers!

#5 - Life isn't about Happiness feat. Loyiso Gola
Monday Oct 15, 2018
Monday Oct 15, 2018
We're going back to South Africa with Loyiso Gola (@loyisogola). Emmy-nominated, award-winning, world touring and very funny, he's bringing the wisdom on this episode after he's finished eating.
He tells me why you should buy a house near a McDonald's, why Argentina feels like a colony and why Loyiso has figured out that life isn't about happiness. I get schooled on being too English with my false modesty, but maintain that's an Australian thing. It's a good chat with a man who really thinks about things and comes with a bonus parable.
Loyiso mentions South African geography so as promised there's a map to explain what he means below:
Also he mentions the film The Miseducation of Cameron Post.
Keep up with everything Loyiso is up to (and there's a lot) by grabbing him on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. And for the comedy fans, here's a clip of him making his Australian TV debut.
Please subscribe if you're into the podcast, give us a good review/rating - it does mean a lot in terms of getting people listening!
If you want to get in touch with me (@danmuggleton), I'm on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook - and will definitely write back. Also use the hashtag #TheUnionJackOff to let me know any stories from the UK, or message The Union Jack Off with Daniel Muggleton on Facebook to suggests guests etc.

#4 - The Stereotype is We're All Rich Now feat. Nigel Ng
Monday Oct 08, 2018
Monday Oct 08, 2018
I sat down with Malaysian Sensation Nigel Ng, the winner of the Amused Moose 2016 Laugh Off, to talk about coming from Asia to the UK. Malaysia is a Commonwealth country but do they still have the Queen on everything and drive on the left?
We talk about having 2 jobs, Crazy Rich Asians, how if he wants to be poor he'd be poor at home, being the only person studying Engineering and Philosophy at university and why instead of donating to charity you should just buy fake Nikes. I loved this chat, Nigel is a great dude and you can catch him soon on Comedy Central UK's Roast Battle copping racism from Tom Lucy.
The Udon place we went to was Koya, and Nigel said to get the cold noodle with broth.
Follow The Union Jack Off on Facebook and get in touch about what we should call our fans, so far JerkOffs is winning but I want to hear from you - any questions, corrections or observations about the UK are welcome too.
If you want to get around Nigel Ng, find him on Twitter & Instagram @MrNigelNg, his website or his Facebook.
If you want to get in touch with me, Daniel Muggleton, I'm on Twitter & Instagram @danmuggleton, my website or my Facebook.

#3 - 'I did check and there's no Jews' feat. Dylan Gott
Sunday Sep 30, 2018
Sunday Sep 30, 2018
I caught up with former London resident Dylan Gott (@dylangott) to figure out why he left. Dylan's from Toronto in Canada, and lived in the UK for just over 2 years before retreating back home with his wife. He told me why London's the best live comedy scene in the world, about bumping into people and not fighting them, and how weird it is that English people who live in the country are normal people.
Dylan Gott's back headlining Yuk Yuks all around Canada, but he returns to the UK in May 2019. Get around his podcast if you're into wrestling, and check out the links to his $1000 albums 'Thank You I Farted' & 'Still Farting' below:

If you're wondering about the incredibly cheap year long comedy ticket I mentioned in Melbourne, it's at The Comic's Lounge and costs you $60 for a double pass.

#2 - Liverpool invented Slavery feat. Adam Rowe
Sunday Sep 23, 2018
Sunday Sep 23, 2018
It's the second episode and Daniel's playing an away game today, chatting with Adam Rowe in his flat in West Derby, Liverpool. I know Liverpool's not a Commonwealth country but it's one of the most parochial parts of England and definitely has its own personality - so there's plenty to learn.
Adam's a great stand-up comic who can be found headlining clubs all across the UK on any given weekend, he's from a working class background and takes pride in the fact he's considered a hard-working comedian.
We talk about what it'll take for him to move from Liverpool, his one week at university, about not being an accountant and comedy - heaps and heaps of comedy. Adam just won Dave's Joke of the Fringe at Edinburgh in 2018 and is about to kick off his 'Undeniable Tour' of the UK.

#1 - Imperial for Height and Dicks feat. Pierre Novellie
Sunday Sep 16, 2018
Sunday Sep 16, 2018
Daniel sits down for the first episode of The Union Jack Off with Pierre Novellie. Originally from South Africa, he grew up on the Isle of Man and has a degree from Cambridge University. We talk imperial measurements, accents too strong for children and why Saffers feel at home in Perth.
Pierre Novellie (@pierrenovellie) performs all over the UK and writes for The Mash Report. Here's a clip of his stand-up so you can see how big he is:
